Cal. 44 WCF. S#. 570732B. Bbl. 30" round with barley corn front & 800 yard folding leaf rear sight. Blue finish. 3 band forend & straight grip stock with steel trap door buttplate and sling swivels. Only 5% of 1873 production were muskets and most were for foreign contracts. This musket is typical of those shipped to Nicaragua. UNATTACHED ACCESORIES: Cody Firearms Museum records check list the following: "Serial number applied on August 04, 1903 / Type: Musket / Caliber: 44 / Received in warehouse on august 25, 1903 / Shipped from warehouse on September 18, 1903, Order number 13880". CONDITION: Fine, all original. Over 75% dull blue blending with spots that have flaked to brown. Original wood finish shows some wear with scattered small dents & marks. Crisp action.
