Cal. 44 WCF. S# 570545B. Bbl. 30", round. Barleycorn front sight with graduated leaf rear sight. Musket-length tubular mag. Blue finished with a case-colored hammer and lever. Three-band fastened walnut forearm and straight grip stock with sling swivels and trapdoor musket buttplate. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: letter from the Cody Firearms Museum detailing the following information: "Serial number applied on July 31, 1903 / Type: Musket / Caliber: 44 / Received in warehouse on August 26, 1903 / Shipped from warehouse on September 18,1903, Order number 13880". CONDITION: 80% original blue, showing spots of pitting and finish loss with deep scratches on the receiver. Bbl. shows scattered spots of light corrosion. Original wood finish shows light wear with scattered scratches and marks. Very good, bright bore. (24-5044/DS). CURIO. $2,500-3,500.
