Cal. 44 WCF. S# 330869B. Bbl. 20" with fixed front sight and carbine leaf rear sight. Full-length mag. Action has a saddle ring on the left side. Walnut forearm and straight grip stock with steel trapdoor crescent buttplate. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: letter from the Cody Firearms Museum detailing the following information: "Carbine / 44 Caliber / Received in the warehouse on February 7, 1890 / Shipped from the warehouse on February 8, 1890, Order number 9090." Also includes a 3-piece cleaning rod housed in the buttplate compartment. CONDITION: metal has a cleaned gray appearance showing scattered pitting. Refinished wood shows heavy wear and handling marks. Forearm has chips along the bbl. channel. Good mechanics. Bore retains largely intact rifling, showing spots of pitting. (01-25577/DS).
