Walnut forearm & straight grip stock w/ crescent steel buttplate. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Cody Firearms Museum letter addressed to a Mr. Russell Malcolm detailing the following, "Dear Mr. Malcolm: The manufacturer's data for Model 1873, serial number 512243, as extracted from the original Winchester records housed in museum, are as follows: Serial number applied on July 3, 1897. Type: Rifle. Caliber: 32. Barrel Type: Octagon. Trigger: Plain. Received in warehouse on November 5, 1897. Shipped from warehouse on November 6, 1897, Order number 21605". CONDITION: over 30% blue fading to brown showing scattered light pitting w/ wrench marks near breech end of bbl. Unsanded wood shows wear, small dents & handling marks. Sound action.
