Cal. 44 WCF. S# 570726B. Bbl. 30" rnd. Fixed front sight with graduated leaf rear sight. Full length tube mag. in forend. Dust cover is mounted on integral rail. Blue finish with case colored hammer, trigger, and trapdoor musket buttplate. 2-band fastened full length walnut forearm and straight grip walnut stock. Stock has inletted sling swivel, front swivel is bbl. band mounted. Mfg. in 1903. CONDITION: bbl., action, and fittings retain over 85% original blue showing scratches and handling marks with scattered spots of finish loss. Lever and hammer retain over 80% lightly faded case colors showing spotted corrosion. Stocks are lightly refinished showing dents, scratches, and marks. Sound action. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Many 1873 muskets were shipped to South American countries and remain in fine condition. (25-4429/DS). CURIO. $3,000-5,000.
