Cal. 32 WCF (32-20). S# 198349B. Bbl. 24" rnd. with replacement bead front sight and replacement flat top sporting rear sight missing elevator. Full length tubular mag. Original finish was blue with case colored hammer and lever. Walnut forearm and stock with crescent steel buttplate. Top of bbl. and left side of action and stock are stamped with the letter "J". Left side of stock also has hand scratched marking that may be initials "I M". Mfg. in 1886. CONDITION: metal finish has faded to gray showing areas of pitting. Sanded and refinished wood has a dark appearance with numerous scratches and dents. Forearm has a full length crack down the right side with a short crack on the left side. Stock has small cracks on left side of wrist and right side of top tang. Toe line has a small hole for a possible sling attachment. Sound action. Dark lightly pitted bore retains worn rifling.
