Cal. 32 WCF (32-20). S# 226705B. Bbl. octagon shortened to 19 1/2". Open front sight slot with later vintage elevator adj. sporting rear sight. Mag. tube is shortened to half length. Standard 9 3/8" rifle forearm and straight grip walnut stock with crescent steel trapdoor buttplate. Mfg. in 1887. CONDITION: metal has mottled brown patina showing light pitting with dents and marks. Wood has age darkened worn appearance with numerous dents and scratches. Forearm has chips and cracks along edges of metal. Carrier jams in upward position when action is cycled and hammer follows lever to half cock as action is closed. Lever hangs loose when action is closed. Dust cover is missing. Dark heavily pitted bore with little remaining rifling. (01-27272/DS). ANTIQUE. $800-1,200.
