Cal. 40-60 WCF. S# 40549. Bbl. 28" octagon. Blade front sight with graduated leaf rear sight. Full length tubular mag. Dust cover is mounted on integral guide rail. Blue finish with case colored hammer and lever. Walnut forearm and straight grip stock with crescent steel buttplate. Mfg. in 1883. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 4-piece cleaning rod held in stock compartment. CONDTIION: over 60% dull fading blue showing edge and carry wear with spotted corrosion. Hammer and lever have traces of case colors with balance having a dark patina appearance. Sanded and refinished wood shows scratches and marks. Forearm is substantially thinned and reshaped along the bbl. channel. Sound action. Lightly pitted bore retains intact rifling. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Norm Greenberg Collection. (01-27703/DS).
