Cal. 50-100-450. S# 106130. Bbl. 26" round. Marbles Sheard No. 4 hunting front sight, filler in rear dovetail w/ Lyman No. 21 "Climbin Lyman" receiver sight. Full length mag. Blue finished bbl. & mag. Case colored action, forearm cap & crescent steel buttplate. Double set triggers. Original walnut forearm. Straight grip walnut stock may be replacement, showing some fitting around the action & tangs. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Cody Firearms Museum letter dated April 2, 2018 & records check dated August 1, 2014. Both detail the following information, "Serial number applied on August 12, 1895 / Type: Rifle / Caliber: 50/100 / Barrel Type: Round / Trigger: Set / Sights: Lyman rear and hunting front / Received in warehouse on October 02, 1895 / Shipped from warehouse on October 04, 1895, Order number 21651". Also includes several pages of photocopied information about the model 1886 & features of this rifle. CONDITION: bbl. & mag. tube retain 70% dull thinning blue. Sides of receiver retain 30% light & fading case colors. Sides of hammer show some case colors. Lever, forearm cap & buttplate have largely faded to gray. Top tang has an added hole through the model marking which is filled. Forearm shows wear w/ scattered handling marks & small dents. Stock has touched-up finish around action showing scratches, marks & small dents. Sound action w/ functioning set trigger. Bore retains strong rifling showing small spots of very light pitting.
