Cal. 12 Ga., 2 5/8". S# 64588. Bbl. 30" plain w/ brass bead. Choke marking "FULL", bbl. retains .032" restriction. 5 Shot tubular mag. Massive lever action has "WRA CO" marking on left side. 2 Panel walnut forearm & rnd. knob stock w/ checkered steel shotgun buttplate. The 1887 designed by John Browning was Winchester's first shotgun. Approx. 64,855 were mfg. 1887-1898. This gun is one of the last produced before the serial number range continued to the Model 1901. CONDITION: metal has 50% dull brown/gray appearance w/ touch up finish. Wood has worn finish showing numerous dents, scratches & marks w/ chips along edges of forearm panels. Bore is generally bright showing some very light pitting. (01-19931/DS). ANTIQUE. $500-750.
