Cal. 32-40. S# 246215. Mfg. 1904. Bbl. 26" Rd with dovetailed Lyman bead front sight (missing bead). Elevator adjustable semi buckhorn rear sight. "Manufactured by the Winchester Repeating Arms Co. / - New Haven. Conn. U.S.A. Pat. Aug. 21. 1894 -" bbl address. Lyman 1A tang sight. Full mag. Plain trigger. Straight grip walnut stock set that terminates with a crescent steel butt plate. CONDITION: overall fair. Bbl retains approx 30% original bluing that is thinning to a brown patina with the predominance of the finish is present in the protected area close to the mag tub. Mag tub retains 70% original blue that is thinning. Both bbl and mag tube have scattered handling marks and scratches. Reciever finish has nearly entirely faded to a mottled grey/brown patina with scattered handling marks and dings. Stock set has been lightly sanded and shows some scattered handling marks, dings and some scratches. Bore has distinct rifling with frosting and pitting. (25-1341/ZAL). CURIO. $500-800.
