Cal. 12 ga. 2 3/4". S# E669849. Bbl. 20" cyl. bore. Bayonet lug w/ 6 row handguard. Solid frame action. Blue finish. Right side of receiver is stamped "US" over "flaming bomb" ordnance mark. Grooved round forearm & pistol grip stock w/ two screw inletted sling swivel & original buttplate. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: scarce M1917 Winchester bayonet marked "1917" over "W" in circle on left side. Right side marked with eagle head, flaming bomb & 2 "X"'s. bayonet housed in green leather scabbard & frog marked "JEWELL / 1917". Bayonet in good condition with age related patina appearing on small parts. Blade displays evidence of sharpening. CONDITION: bbl., mag. tube & handguard retain over 80% original blue showing slide wear w/ areas of freckling. Left side of receiver retains 90% lightly faded blue showing edge & carry wear. Right side of receiver has cold blue finish over areas of substantial pitting. Original wood finish shows numerous dents, scratches & marks. Sound action. Bore is generally bright showing scattered spots of pitting. (25-1659/DS). CURIO. $5,000-8,000.
