Cal. 220 Swift. S# 20786A. Bbl. 26" having silver dovetailed bead in ramped base for front sight, sight blank in place of barrel rear sight plus early leaf spring Lyman 48 receiver sight with hunting disc. Mfg. 1929 (1925-1936) based on Mauser design with serrated Mauser style wing safety. Front bridge of receiver factory drilled and tapped 6-48 for scope mount (plug screws installed); untapped rear bridge. Predecessor to famous Model 70 with one piece trigger guard assembly; non hinged floorplate. Checkered walnut stock set with serrated steel buttplate, schnable forend tip and Winchester style swivel eyes. CONDITION: fair to good overall appearance with bluing wear from handling and functioning. Finish has cold blue appearance and trigger guard assembly has mottled gray patina tone as does buttplate. Stock has numerous handling marks; very good checkering. Slight slot damage on screws. Very good bright bore with light wear at chamber end.
