RING CARBINE. Cal. 44 HRF. S# 169022. Bbl. 20" rnd. carbine style. Fixed front sight with carbine leaf rear sight. Full length mag. Brass action with saddle ring on left side. Walnut forearm and straight grip stock with trapdoor carbine buttplate. Very late production carbine, S# indicates 1898 mfg. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 4th model 3-piece cleaning rod held in the stock compartment. CONDITION: bbl. and mag. tube retain over 90% lightly faded blue showing slight carry wear. Brass receiver has a natural appearing mild patina showing scratches and marks. Sides of hammer and lever retain some visible case colors. Lightly sanded and refinished wood show a few remaining handling marks. Buttplate has touched up finish. Sound action. Bore retains sound rifling showing a slightly roughened appearance.
