German silver blade rocky mountain front sight, elevator adj. sporting rear sight & Vernier tang sight. Repeating rifle w/ tubular mag. in stock having safety/mag. cutoff button on right side. Turn down style round knob bolt handle. Sporting style straight grip walnut stock. Features include horn tipped schnable forearm & steel shotgun buttplate w/ hand checkered forearm & wrist. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: letter & records check both from the Cody Firearms Museum detail the following information, "Serial number application date not available / Type: Rifle / Barrel Type: Octagon / Barrel Length: 26 inches / Checkered stock / Bolt turned down / Sights: Graduated Peep and Globe Oat front / Received in warehouse on November 8, 1879 / Shipped from warehouse on November 8, 1879, Order number 17739". CONDITION: bbl. & action retain 80% lightly faded blue. Right side of receiver has series of dents on rear portion.
