SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 GA. S# 76369. Bbl. 18 1/8". Model 11 (1911) self-loading shotgun mfg. by Winchester in 1919. The left side of the bbl. is marked with Winchester's mfg. and patent information, followed by "12 GA.", with "FULL" marked towards the chamber. Left side of the receiver, upper receiver tang, and lower receiver tang are electro-penciled "029-10-3679". Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bolt, which is polished in-the-white. Plain wood pistol grip buttstock and plain wood forend with grasping grooves. Bbl. features a knurled band for cocking, and a blade front sight. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting scattered areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray and brown patinas, scattered spots/areas of cleaned oxidation, as well as scattered spots light to mild surface oxidation overall. Very bright bore, exhibiting areas of light to mild pitting. Wood furniture exhibits scattered marks and minor impressions from handling and storage, with some flaking to the varnish present overall. Buttstock exhibits a chip along the upper receiver tang. PROVENANCE: Estate of Russell Dickerman. (25-1888/MLW). CURIO. $300-400.
