SINGLE SHOT RIFLE. Cal. 22 Short. S# 25710. Bbl. 26" octagon of No. 2 weight. Globe sight with replacement brass post sight disc, filler in rear dovetail, with mid-range Vernier tang sight. Thick wall receiver, with single set trigger. Blue and case colored finish. Schnabel tip forearm and straight grip walnut stock, with nickel finished brass Swiss Schuetzen style buttplate. Weight: 8lbs. 13.2 oz. Mfg. in 1888. CONDITION: metal has faded to mottled gray/brown, showing light surface corrosion, with scattered small marks. Stock and forearm have worn finish, showing numerous scratches, marks, and dents. Sound action, with functioning trigger. Bore has sound rifling, with some very light pitting.
