Blue and case colored finish. Walnut forearm and straight grip stock with crescent steel buttplate and sling swivels. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Cody Firearms Museum record stating "Type: Rifle/ Caliber: 38/56/ Barrel Type: 1/2 Octagon/ Trigger: Plain/ Received in warehouse on August 26, 1892/ Shipped from warehouse on August 26, 1892, Order number 4409". CONDITION: 30% dull fading bbl. and mag. tube blue. Action shows some lightly visible case colors, with balance fading to silver/gray, having spots of surface corrosion. Wood has age darkened worn appearance, with scratches and marks. Mechanically fine. Lightly frosted bore retains good rifling. (01-27089/DS). ANTIQUE. $4,000-6,000.
