Cal. 40-65 WCF. S# 72607. Bbl. 26" octagon. Lyman front sight with broken bead and flat top sporting rear sight. Full length mag. Blue and case colored finish. Walnut forearm and pistol grip stock, with crescent steel buttplate. Mfg. in 1892. CONDITION: metal finish has faded to mottled gray/brown, showing dents and handling marks, with spotted surface corrosion. Mag. tube has small dents, 6" and 12" from the muzzle. Wood has age darkened worn appearance, showing scratches and marks. Sound action. Bore retains generally sound rifling, showing spots of pitting. PROVENANCE: Estate of Russell Dickerman.
