Cal. 10 GA. S# 43689. Bbl. 25 3/4". Model 1887 lever action shotgun mfg. by Winchester in 1892. Left side of the receiver is marked with the intertwined WRA Co. monogram, with Winchester's mfg. and patent information marked on the lower receiver tang. 2-panel sanded and refinished plain wood forearm and rnd. knob buttstock with checkered steel buttplate. Brass bead front sight. CONDITION: metal components retain traces of their original blue finish, with the balance having worn and thinned to a mottled gray patina, exhibiting areas of light to mild surface oxidation and pitting overall. Sides of bbl. and sides of mag. tube (ahead of forearm panels) exhibit a series of impressions, with the mag. tube exhibiting 2 bands of solder repair. Bore exhibiting scattered spots and patches of mild to moderate pitting. Proper manual mechanics. Sanded and refinished wood furniture shows some scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, with 2 cracks present on the wrist, stemming from the rear of the upper receiver tang.
