DOUBLE SET TRIGGERS & DANIELS REAR SIGHT. Cal. 38 WCF. S# 252478. Bbl. 24 1/4". Model 1892 lever action rifle mfg. by Winchester in 1903. The top flat of the octagonal bbl. is marked with Winchester's 2 line address, with the cal. designation marked towards the breech. Metal components exhibit a blued finish. Plain wood straight grip buttstock and forend have been sanded and revarnished. Ivory beaded blade front sight with rare Daniels Concentric rear sight (ivory ring is not present). Double set triggers. Full length mag. tube. Lever retains a Brownell's tag labeled "PERSONAL FIREARMS/ NOT FOR SALE" that lists "A.D. Ulrich" as the owner and lists the S# and features of the rifle. CONDITION: metal components retain fair amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting wear and thinning overall that shows through to gray patina. Receiver exhibits striations from cleaning. Bbl. exhibits some dings to the edges of the bbl. flats. Bright bore, exhibiting scattered spots of pitting and retaining fair rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows scattered marks, impressions, and some gouges from handling and storage, with the buttstock exhibiting a chip on the right side of the wrist at the receiver. (23-5346/MLW).
