FACTORY LETTER. Cal. 38 WCF (38-40). S# 36564. Bbl. 24" rnd., with original sporting sights. Full length mag. Blue finish, with case colored hammer, lever, and crescent steel buttplate. Walnut forearm and straight grip stock. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Cody Firearms Museum record stating "Type: Rifle/ Caliber: 38/ Barrel Type: Round/ Trigger: Plain/ Received in warehouse on October 26, 1894/ Shipped from warehouse on August 16, 1895, Order number 18103". CONDITION: 80% lightly faded original blue, showing carry and edge wear, with small marks. Original wood finish shows moderate wear, with scratches and marks, having an area of finish loss around the buttplate. Hammer lever and buttplate retain some case colors. Sound action.
