Cal. 32 WS. S# 355949. Bbl. 20". Model 1894 lever action carbine mfg. by Winchester in 1906. Left side of the 1946 dated replacement bbl. is marked with Winchester's mfg. information, followed by the Winchester trademark logo, as well as "-MODEL 94-32 W.S.-". Upper receiver tang is marked "MODEL 1894/ -WINCHESTER-/ TRADE MARK". Left side of lower receiver tang is marked "3571", followed by an apparent "CH". Bbl. and mag. tube exhibit a blue finish. Plain wood single band fastened forearm with special ordered plain wood pistol grip buttstock featuring a Winchester brown hard rubber grip cap and crescent steel buttplate. Wood furniture appears to have been lightly sanded and refinished at one time. Ramped Marbles Sheard brass tipped blade front sight with standard factory dovetailed U-notch rear sight, and tang mounted Lyman flip-up aperture rear sight. Mag. tube and forward bbl. band are replacements. CONDITION: receiver, hammer, lever, and buttplate have faded to a mottled gray patina, exhibiting scattered spots of light to mild surface oxidation and pitting (primarily on receiver),as well as some superficial handling marks. Bbl. retains traces of original finish in exposed areas, with the balance having faded to a gray patina, exhibiting some scattered spots of light surface oxidation, as well as some superficial handling marks. Mag. tube and forward bbl. band are very good overall. Front of mag. tube cap exhibit spots of moderate oxidation. Near mirror bore, exhibiting scattered patches of light pitting (mostly concentrated towards the muzzle), while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Wood furniture exhibits scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, with the forearm exhibiting a large cracking on the underside, stemming from the forward edge. Buttstock exhibits a large crack and some chipping on the right side of the wrist (stemming from the receiver), 2 additional small cracks on the top of the wrist stemming from the tang, as well as several small cracks and chips at the buttplate.
