CARBINE. Cal. 38-55. S# 365925. Bbl. 20". Pinned blade front sight with carbine leaf rear sight. Full length mag. Action has saddle ring on left side. Band fastened forearm and straight grip walnut stock with hard rubber shotgun buttplate. Mfg. in 1906. CONDITION: bbl. and action retain 50% worn reblued finish showing carry wear with numerous scratches and marks, having scattered spots of corrosion and light pitting. Left side of receiver has plug screws in 2 added holes for sight attachment. Refinished wood shows remaining scratches, marks, and dents. Stock has small chips around tangs. Carrier operation is stiff when action is cycled. Lightly pitted bore has a darkened appearance retaining sound rifling. PROVENANCE: Estate of Russell Dickerman. (25-1860/DS). CURIO. $800-1,200.
