FEATURES. Cal. 30 US (30-40 Krag). S# 44761. Bbl. 22" with pinned blade front, Lyman no.6 rear with single flat top leaf rear and "Climin Lyman" no. 20 receiver sight. Blue finish with case colored hammer. Band fastened finger groove forend and straight grip walnut stock with steel shotgun buttplate and eyes for the Winchester sling. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Cody Firearms Museum letter detailing the following information, "Type: Carbine. Caliber: 30. Shotgun butt. Screws-eyes. No sling ring, etc. Received in warehouse on September 22, 1904. Shipped from warehouse on September 21, 1904, Order number 247450.". CONDITION: Barrel retains over 95% bright blue showing small marks. Receiver has over 80% blue showing edge & carry wear with scratches & fine spots of freckling. Hammer shows bright colors on sides. Lightly worn wood finish has scratches, marks & small dents. Bright bore retrains sharp rifling. PROVENANCE: From the Estate of Jon Thomas. (23-1653/DS). CURIO. $3,500-5,500.
