Cal. 30-40 Krag. S# 65544. Bbl. 22". Model 1895 lever action carbine mfg. by Winchester in 1912. Left side of the bbl. is marked with the cal. designation "30 U.S." towards the breech, with Winchester's mfg. and patent information marked on the left side of the receiver. Top of the receiver is marked "30" over the chamber. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Plain wood straight grip buttstock, with grooved wood carbine length forend and handguard. Pinned blade front sight, with receiver mounted Redfield adj. aperture rear sight. Bbl. rear sight is absent, with screws being present. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray and brown patinas, scattered superficial handling marks, as well as spots/areas of light surface oxidation overall. Dark bore, exhibiting consistent mild to moderate degrees of pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. PROVENANCE: Estate of Russell Dickerman. (25-1865/MLW). CURIO. $700-1,000.
