RIFLE. Cal. 22 S, L. NSN. Bbl. 18". Model 1900 single shot bolt action rifle mfg. by Winchester between 1899-1902. Top of the bbl. is marked with Winchester's mfg. and patent information, followed by the model and cal. designations. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bolt assembly, which is polished in-the-white. Plain wood straight grip buttstock. Dovetailed blade front sight, with dovetailed V-notch rear sight. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some spots of light to mild wear and thinning, some scattered superficial handling marks, as well as some scattered spots of light surface oxidation overall. Bolt shows some spots of age related discoloration. Very bright bore, exhibiting scattered spots of dark pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Stock shows scattered marks and minor impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. PROVENANCE: Estate of Russell Dickerman. (25-1810/MLW). CURIO. $200-300.
