SHOTGUN. Cal. 10 Ga., 2 7/8. S# 73732. Only about 13,000 of these, the updated version of the model 1887, w/ strengthened frame for smokeless powder were made. This gun has 32" bbl. w/ Winchester information, model & ga. on top & is marked for full choke. Blued lever action w/ shrouded hammer is marked w/ “W.R.A. CO.” monogram on left side. Relatively plain American walnut buttstock measures 13 1/2" over solid red Winchester pad & features sm. rnd. knob checkered pistol grip. Wooden side panels forming forend are also checkered w/ 3 lg. diamonds each side in imitation of factory pattern. CONDITION: bbl. & action retain approx 80% original blue w/ considerable high edge wear & silvering along w/ wear on mag. tube. Stocks retain most of an old oil refinish w/ a lg. number of marks & bumps. Bright shiny bore, mechanically good. PROVENANCE: Collection of Alan Bradley Shepherd. (20-4011/MGM). CURIO. $800-1,200.
