RIFLE. Cal. 22 S, L, EL. NSN. Bbl. 18". Model 1902 single shot bolt action rifle mfg. by Winchester between 1902-1931. Left side of the bbl. is marked with Winchester's mfg. and patent information, followed by the model and cal. designations. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bolt assembly, which is polished in-the-white. 1-piece plain wood straight grip buttstock has been sanded and revarnished. Dovetailed blade front sight, with dovetailed V-notch rear sight. CONDITION: metal components retain fair amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting wear and thinning that shows through to gray and brown patinas overall, with some scattered spots of light pitting. Bolt appears to have been cleaned during the period, exhibiting scattered spots of age related discoloration. Fair bore, exhibiting scattered spots of deep and dark pitting, while retaining fair rifling throughout. Stock shows scattered marks and minor impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. (25-1808/MLW). CURIO. $250-350.
