Cal. 16 GA, 2 3/4". NSN. Bbl. 28". Model 37 single shot shotgun mfg. by Winchester between 1936-1963. Left side of the bbl. is marked with Winchester's mfg. information, followed by the model and cal. designations, the Winchester trademark logo, and "CHOKE", with "2 3/4 CHAM." marked towards the breech. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Plain wood pistol grip buttstock, with Winchester trademark logo checkered black synthetic buttplate, and plain wood forend. Buttstock and forend have been sanded and revarnished at one time. Aluminum bead front sight. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting a few spots of light wear and thinning, with scattered superficial marks and spots of light surface oxidation overall. Mirror bore. Wood furniture shows scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. Left side of the buttstock exhibits a large crack towards the comb that stems from the buttplate. PROVENANCE: Estate of Russell Dickerman. (25-1910/MLW). CURIO. $200-400.
