Cal. 22 LR. S# 79390C. Bbl. 28". Model 52C bolt action rifle mfg. by Winchester in 1953. Left side of the bbl. is marked with the Winchester trademark logo, followed by the model and cal. designations. Left side of receiver is marked with the S#, with the Winchester trademark logo marked on the right. Metal components exhibit a reapplied blue finish overall. Sanded and refinished 1-piece plain wood Model 52 target pistol grip stock features a 4" blued steel hand stop rail and a checkered blued steel buttplate. Toeline of stock, foremost hand stop rail slot and hand stop feature sling swivels. Trigger guard has been drilled and tapped fore and aft of the mag. well. Bbl. is drilled and tapped with x3 sight blocks. Left rear of receiver is fitted with a Lyman adj. sight base. Bolt assembly and mag. are absent. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting scattered spots and some patches of light to mild surface oxidation and pitting. Mirror bore, retaining strong rifling throughout. Stock is good, as sanded and refinished, exhibiting some scattered superficial marks and small impressions.
