TARGET RIFLE. Cal. 22 LR. S# 112137D. Bbl. 28". Model 52D single shot bolt action target rifle mfg. by Winchester in 1963. Left side of the bbl. is marked with the Winchester trademark logo, followed by the model and cal. designations. Left side of receiver is marked with an electro-penciled "US" above the S#, with the Winchester trademark logo marked on the right. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bolt body, which is polished in-the-white, and the aluminum trigger guard, which exhibits a black anodized finish. Standard Model 52 target style pistol grip stock, featuring a 14" hand stop rail, bedding screws, and a grooved black rubber Winchester recoil pad. Toeline of stock features a factory sling swivel. Redfield Olympic Model globe front sight and adj. aperture rear sight. Rear half of bbl. is fitted with 2 sight blocks. Bolt is unnumbered. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting a few spots of light wear, with some scattered spots of light surface oxidation. Bolt knob shows thinning that is fading to gray patina. Aluminum trigger guard shows some handling marks. Mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Stock shows scattered marks and some impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sound. PROVENANCE: From the Lifetime Collection of Malcolm Zickler, Ret. USAF Lt. Col. (26-768/MLW).
