Cal. 22 S, L, LR. NSN. Bbl. 23". Model 60 single shot bolt action rifle mfg. by Winchester from 1932 until the US' involvement in World War II. Left side of the bbl. exhibits standard markings denoting Winchester's mfg. information, as well as the model and cal. designations. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bolt assembly (minus the cocking piece), which is polished in-the-white. 1-piece piece plain wood pistol grip buttstock, with Winchester checkered black synthetic buttplate. Dovetailed brass beaded blade front sight, with dovetailed U-notch rear sight. Left side of the receiver has been drilled and tapped (screws absent). Muzzle has been threaded, and is fitted with what appears to be a homemade compensator. CONDITION: metal components retain fair amounts of their original factory finish, exhibiting some spots of wear, areas of lacquer, and consistent mild surface oxidation overall. Compensator exhibits scattered areas of dark oxidation and pitting. Mirror bore, retaining strong rifling throughout. Wood stock shows scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. Buttplate exhibits a large chip in the top right corner, with a horizontal crack present on either side of the lower buttplate screw. (25-2033/MLW). MODERN. $75-150.
