Cal. 22 LR. S# 97317. Bbl. 23". Model 63 semi-automatic rifle mfg. by Winchester, circa. 1951. Left side of the bbl. exhibits standard factory markings denoting Winchester's mfg. information, as well as the model and cal. designations. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bolt and plunger, which are polished in-the-white. Plain wood pistol grip buttstock, with inverse checkered steel buttplate, and plain wood forend. Dovetailed aluminum beaded blade front sight, with dovetailed U-notch rear sight. Matching numbers are present on the upper and lower assemblies. CONDITION: metal components retain the vast majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some spots of light edge wear. Left side of the receiver exhibits areas of light surface oxidation, with more consistent light surface oxidation present on the right. Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows some superficial marks and minor impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. (25-2048/MLW). CURIO. $600-900.
