Cal. 30-30. S# 1979550. Bbl.24 1/4". Model 64 lever action rifle mfg. by Winchester in 1953. Bbl. exhibits standard markings denoting Winchester's mfg. information, as well as the model and cal. designations. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Plain wood forearm and pistol grip buttstock with black enamel finished steel buttplate. Wood furniture appears to have been lightly sanded and revarnished. Dovetailed blade front sight and U-notch rear sight. Left side of receiver has been drilled and tapped with a weaver rail and 1" scope rings, featuring a Tasco 3-9x40mm scope. Left rear sight "ear" has been shaved to accommodate the scope. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some scattered spots and patches of wear and thinning fading to gray patina, some lacquer overspray, as well as scattered spots of light surface oxidation and pitting. Buttplate exhibits scattered spots of flaking and oxidation. Mirror bore, exhibiting a couple of spots of light pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Wood furniture shows some superficial marks from handling and storage, as well as some scattered spots of flaking, but otherwise remains sound. Scope retains a clear and sharp optic. (26-2193/MLW).
