Cal. 22 S, L, LR. NSN. Bbl. 27 1/8". Model 68 single shot bolt action rifle mfg. by Winchester between 1934-1946. The left side of the bbl. is marked with Winchester's mfg. information, followed by the model and cal. designations, as well as the Winchester trademark logo. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bolt assembly (minus the cocking piece), which exhibits a nickel plated finish. 1-piece plain wood pistol grip buttstock, with Winchester checkered black synthetic buttplate. Dovetailed brass beaded blade front sight, with dovetailed U-notch rear sight. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some scattered superficial handling marks, as well as scattered spots of light pitting and surface oxidation overall. Bolt is very good overall. Mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Stock shows some scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. PROVENANCE: Estate of Russell Dickerman. (25-1823/MLW). CURIO. $200-400.
