Cal. 32 WS. S# 1069932. Bbl. 24 1/4". Model 94 takedown lever action rifle mfg. by Winchester in 1929. Left side of the Model 55 replacement bbl. is marked with the model designation, followed by the Winchester trademark logo, as well as the cal. designation, with Winchester's mfg. information marked on the right. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Plain wood straight grip buttstock and forend have been lightly sanded and revarnished. Dovetailed Marbles No. 2 blade front sight (bead is absent), with dovetailed V-notch rear sight, and receiver mounted Lyman aperture rear sight. Lyman receiver sight is fitted with a brass washer on the forward screw. Half-length mag. tube. CONDITION: receiver and forend hardware exhibit wear and thinning overall, with the balance retaining a mostly mottled gray patina. Bbl. retains the majority of its original factory blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning, scattered handling marks, as well as some scattered spots of light surface oxidation. Bright bore, exhibiting a few areas of mild pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows some superficial marks and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. PROVENANCE: Estate of Russell Dickerman. (25-1857/MLW).
