Cal. 22 Short. S# 135871. Bbl. 28" round w/ a ramp mounted blade front sight & Lyman receiver sight. Top of receiver is marked US over flaming bomb. Band fastened full length finger groove forearm & straight grip stock w/ steel buttplate & sling swivel. Front sling swivel is a wire replacement. CONDITION: bbl. blue is fading to brown showing spots of wear & light corrosion. Action finish has flaked to gray. Wood has age darkened worn appearance w/ scattered scratches & marks. Stock has small cracks behind both tangs. Spring tension screw is missing. Dark bore w/ worn rifling. PROVENANCE: From the lifelong Collection of Jim Williams. (24-2726/DS). CURIO. $500-1,000.
