Cal. 455 Webley. S# 11654. Bbl. 6 1/2". Round blade front sight. Fixed rear sight. Matching numbers on frame & bbl. Cyl. & extractor match each other but not frame. Cyl. assembly & right sideplate have a notably different shade of blue than rest of revolver & are replacements. Left side of gun has varied British military & sale proofs including "NOT ENGLISH MAKE". Blued finish with case colored hammer & trigger. Checkered hardwood grips with diamond center & gold S&W medallions. Right grip panel has faint penciled number that does not appear to match frame. Lanyard ring present on bottom of grip frame. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: aftermarket black hardcase with right handed leather holster. CONDITION: grips show scattered dings & handling marks. Hammer & trigger retain strong traces of case colors with overall fading & some light oxidation. Balance of metal retains 80% mix of dull arsenal rework blue & factory blue with scattered edge wear, thinning, fading & light dings. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Good bright bore with some light pitting & frosting. (24-6897/MJC). CURIO. $1000-1500.
