Cal. 455 Webley. S# 248302. Bbl. 6". Blade front sight. V-notch rear sight. Matching numbers on frame, bbl. & cyl. Cyl. is shaved for 45 ACP/AR ammo. Frame is dated 1917 & bbl. 1916. Right side of bbl. has British sold out of service proofs. Other parts have varied British military inspection stamps. Blued finish with Suncorite hammer & trigger. Checkered brown hard rubber grips. Lanyard ring present on bottom of grip frame. CONDITION: grips show some dings, checkering wear & handling marks. Metal retains 70% original blue with scattered edge wear, fading to gray, handling marks & light oxidation. Action appears to function properly when hand cycled. Very good bright bore with some frosting but strong rifling. (25-1672/MJC). CURIO. $300-500.
