RIFLE. Cal. 8mm Lebel. S# CH87800. Bbl. 31 1/2" EDB made & dated 1916. Blade front sight. Ladder rear sight graduated to 2400m. Bolt parts are mismatched but other visible parts are matching appearing arsenal renumbered. Receiver has Tulle & MLE 1886 M93 markings. Receiver & bbl tops have "N" marking for Balle N upgrade. Blued finish. Hardwood stock set with bottom mounted sling swivels. CONDITION: stock set has a dark appearance with forend being a bit loose, some gouges, scattered dings, scratches & handling marks. Bolt & buttplate show some pitting & oxidation. Metal otherwise retains 40% arsenal rework blue with notable oxidation along bbl., further scattered oxidation, edge wear, handling marks & fading. Follower & mag cutoff may need attention but action is otherwise functional when hand cycled. Very good bright bore with some light frosting but strong rifling. (25-3921/MJC). CURIO. $700-1000.
