RIFLE. Cal. 8mm Mauser. S# 3694f. Bbl. 23 1/2". Standard K98k sights. Follower & front sight appear unnumbered but other visible parts are matching with correct "214" inspection stamps. 1940 Berliner Luebecker (237) K98k rifle. Blued finish. Laminated stock set with left side sling provisions & worn original leather sling. Right side of butt has faint eagle "H" & 214 stamps. CONDITION: stock set shows heavy band removal wear on forend, some long laminate cracks on butt, scattered rough areas, finish loss, dings & handling marks. Metal retains 30% blue with overall cleaned gray areas with pitting, scattered oxidation, edge wear & handling marks. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Very good bright bore with some light frosting. (26-1572/MJC). CURIO. $600-1,000.
