This lot consists of the following: 1) Type 30 Training Bayonet. Unmarked bayonet. Hooked crossguard & hardwood handles. No scabbard present. CONDITION: metal parts of bayonet show overall oxidation. Grip panels show staining, dings & some chipping. 2) Late War Toyoda T30 Bayonet. Straight crossguard. Bamboo scabbard. CONDITION: metal shows overall oxidation, some silvering along the edges & pitting. Hardwood grip panels show some dings & dents. Bamboo scabbard shows overall flaking, dings, & light cracks. 3) Early Nagoya T30 Bayonet. Brightly finished with Nagoya marking. Canvas frog present. Scabbard present that is missing its throat screw CONDITION: metal parts of bayonet & scabbard show overall oxidation, fading to gray & some flaking. Frog shows flaking & crazing. Wooden handles show some dings, staining & flaking. 4) Type 18 Murata Bayonet. Scabbard present. Mum on crossguard. Handles have added Kanji markings. CONDITION: metal parts of bayonet show overall oxidation & fading to gray. Scabbard is a dull color with fading, flaking, oxidation & dents. Handles have a dark appearance with dents, dings & chips. 5) Japanese Prayer Flag. Hinomaru or prayer flag. Rising Sun in center with Kanji markings that appear to translate to "National Prestige promotes the longevity of military power". Flag is in a frame that measures 15"x12". CONDITION: frame shows some flaking & added tape repairs. Flag shows scattered moderate soiling. (02-25316/MJC). NON-GUN. $200-400 for lot.
