34” x 60” bunting & cotton double applique star over Transportation Corps insignia with winged wheel. Hoist is stenciled: “BRIG GEN’L / TRANSP. CORPS” and depot marked & dated Sept. 2, 1937. As with other Army commands, special flags for general officers were created and remain in use today. The rank of that officer is denoted by the number of stars on the flag. One is for Brigadier General; two stars for Major General; three stars for Lieutenant General; four stars for General and five stars for General of the Army.
