Cal. 6.5 Carc. S# NS7176. Bbl. 33 1/4". Blade front sight. Ladder rear sight graduated to 2000m. WW1 update of an Italian Vetterli rifle to 6.5 Carcano. Bbl. has an 1884 date and Brescia arsenal marking. Front of the magazine is proud of wood, and the rear sight appears loose. Bolt will occasionally get hung up at the rear when hand-cycled. Hardwood stock set with bottom-mounted sling swivels. Rear sling swivel is bent. Right side of the butt has a matching number that appears to be arsenal overstamped. No cleaning rod present. CONDITION: stock set has inletted repairs around the mag. body, a notable chip in the cleaning rod channel, scattered dings, scratches, and handling wear. Metal retains 50% of its arsenal rework blue with scattered fading to gray and oxidation. Poor, oxidized bore. (01-25552/MJC). ANTIQUE. $200-300.
