MK1 SINGLE SHOT SIGNAL GUN. Cal. 37mm. S# 986. Matching numbers on frame & barrel. Bbl. 10" smooth bore & made w/o sights. These guns were made under contract to Great Britain during WWI, WWII and are patterned after the Webley & Scott No.1 Mk1. Frame, barrel & latch marked w/ numerous British broad arrows & view marks. Exposed hammer design. Lanyard ring ahead of trigger guard. Walnut pistol grip buttstock, having added Pachmayr ventilated recoil pad & quick detachable swivel stud. CONDITION: stock has moderate wear & handling marks w/ added finish. Missing chip at end of upper tang. Fine crack extends from chip to buttstock nose. Two cracks at the bottom tang extending well into pistol grip. Metal retains 75% of its original worn blue finish. Barrel has small spots of oxidation throughout. Bore turning dark w/ scattered shallow pitting throughout. (02-25095/RW). NON-GUN. $400-600.
