This early handmade badge has a trench art look about it and measures approx. 3" x 1 7/8". The badge appears to be brass with a copper propeller and depicts a large anchor with a single hand-engraved bird’s wing on the right side. The left side wing has been broken off and is missing. There is a propeller assembly in the center of the anchor. The rear of the badge has a single iron screw with bolt. The missing wing would have had a second bolt for attachment. CONDITION: badge generally shows light wear and has a pleasing, deep tarnish. As stated, one wing is missing. (02-22999/BF). $100-300.
