Overall length: 39". Blade length: 26”. The blade has a straight hamon with a copper habaki engraved with 2 Japanese characters on each side. There are 2 seppa above & below the tsuba. The tsuba is gilded brass of classic 4 cherry blossom design. The nakago has a single mekugi-ana with no visible signature on either side. The tsuka has white same with dull yellow tsuka-ito. Shin-gunto style kabuto-gane with matching fuchi. 3 Cherry blossom style menuki on each side. The metal saya has gold highlighted patinated brass 5-petal cherry blossom mounts. The body has a deep red finish. CONDITION: blade has a fine polish with no visible flaws. Tsuka shows light overall wear. Saya shows 30% loss of finish and some oxidized surfaces.
