Overall length: 39 1/2". Blade length: 27 5/8”. The blade has a straight hamon with a brass habaki. There are 3 seppa above & below the tsuba. The tsuba is brass with a blackened finish and alternating copper & brass rays emanating from the center. We have been unable to remove the tsuka to inspect the nakago. The tsuka has a black same with a light brown tsuka-ito. The menuki are of 3 cherry blossom medallion design. Shin-gunto style kabuto-gane with matching fuchi. There is a tassel attached to the ring of the kabuto-gane. The saya has gilded mounts bearing 5-petal cherry blossoms. The body appears to be blackened fish skin. CONDITION: blade has a good polish, but could use further work on some minor scratches. Tsuka shows light overall wear. Saya shows light overall wear with minor abrasions to the body.
