1) Majority of lot is contained in 36" x 18" x 15", & is marked on the lid "MAJOR R. H. FITZROY / R.G.A.". Consignor supplied notes detailing service in Royal Garrison Artillery as 2nd Lieutenant on Sept. 3, 1902, 1st Lieutenant on Sept. 3, 1905 through 1912 w/ 43rd Company, Cork Harbor, Ireland. 2) Photo measuring 32" x 25" of a soldier appearing in Lieutenant Colonel in Hussar uniform. Script appears to translate to "Ernst August / Duchy of Braunschweig-Luneberg". 3) Trunk containing WWI German militaria includes, but is not limited to, a certificate appearing to translate to "Royal Bavarian Jaeger Regiment No. 1 death certificate confirming KIA Nov. 26, 1916", 2 pairs of binoculars, 1915-dated bugle, richer box containing paperwork, Iron Cross, pictures, & other medals, Paul Flemming box for cap, 4 books in German, Kaiserlich Marine photos, bread bag, blue-colored ammo bandolier, brown leather shoulder bandolier, & 2 canteens.
